«This work is dedicated to the discussion of the issues of the Armenian Genocide of 1915 in Arab historiography. Motivations tor Arab historiography to turn to the Armenian Genocide are elucidated; classification of Arab historiographic literature on that problem is brought. The author dwells upon such crucial issues in Arab historiography as the causes and nature of the Armenian Genocide, the methods and mechanisms of its commitment. Especially underlined is the fact that the term Armenocide was used widely by Arab historians, who qualified it as the «most genocidal genocide». It is also noted that Arab historiography regards the Ottoman Empire as a country of carnages and massacres, not only practiced towards Armenians, but also towards Arabs, Greeks, Assyrians, Slavs and other non-Turkish peoples of the empire. In fact, the Ottoman Empire was a cradle of genocide. A stress is made on the philanthropic attitude of Arabs towards Armenian refugees during the nightmarish times of the Genocide. The monograph is addressed to specialists in Armenian history, Arabists, Turkologists and specialists of Oriental studies in general, international affairs experts, genocidologists, students and all those interested in historical issues.»
